Oerthan Winter Coronet & Investiture

In the midst of winter’s icy hold, Their Highnesses Duncan and Violet, Prince and Princess of Oertha, invite one and all to bear witness to the selection of Their Heirs by right of combat and Their Investiture the following day.

There will be a Roses Tourney for both heavy and rapier fighters after the Selection of the Heirs. There will be a potluck feast on Saturday for those who wish to participate. The Principality will be providing a protein dish.

Arts and Sciences! The Principality A&S Championship continues with the Performing Arts category, stories of courtly love. As with all entries in the A&S Championship, you should provide at least one 3"x5" card worth of documentation.

Additionally, the Oerthan Apothecary and Herbal Guild will be hosting a competition on the re-creation of a period pain and or surgical salve, recipe, or treatment. Documentation will be required, including a list of all ingredients. Trepanning will not be allowed.

Note: Site is dry.

Nearby hotels: EagleQuest Cabins and Lodge and Alaskan Host B&B are both located within 15 minutes from the site. Additional hotels are located in Wasilla, which is about 30 minutes from the site.

Site opens from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm Friday, 8:30 am to 10:00 pm Saturday, and 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Sunday.

Directions: 

From the North: Take the Parks Highway 288 miles south to Willow Community Center Circle. Turn right.
From the South: Take the Seward to the Glenn to the Parks (as applicable). Travel approximately 35 miles north on the Parks to Willow Community Center Circle. Turn left.
The building is hard to miss.
